The traditional method of Kintsugi is very complex, delicate and time consuming but with PLEARTY, we’ve created a worry-free & easy DIY kit! If you follow our Kintsugi kit’s included Booklet or our instruction video, you will be able to mend your broken object by yourself. 2. For which materials can I use Kintsugi? You can use PLEARTY Kintsugi not only for ceramics, but also for wood, glass, stone & concrete so the options are endless! Let your creativity flow! 3. What is the epoxy element in my kit for? As described in our detailed Kintsugi Booklet, you can use the epoxy element to fill up larger cracks. It is super strong & waterproof! 4. Can I put my repaired objects in the dishwasher? Yes, you can! Once the Linseed Resin is completely hardened (after 3 days), you can safely put your items in the dishwasher. Keep in mind that if you put the items in the dishwasher daily, after a while, the golden lines become darker. You can easily fix this by applying a new layer of the resin and the golden powder. Also, certain aggressive products (such as vinegar, lemon juice, or coffee…) can cause the polish or color to become a little dull or darker. Heat does slightly soften the PLEARTY Linseed Resin, so leave it a couple of hours to rest before using it again. 5. Can I use my repaired object for tea? Yes, your repaired items can endure temperatures up to 100° celsius. This means you can use it for your favorite tea! Because of the temperature limit, you cannot put you item in the oven or microwave. 7- Is your Resin food-safe? After 72 hours, the repaired objects are dishwasher-proof & food-safe. Our Linseed resin has been tested following FDA Standards and are in compliance with 21 CFR 175.300.
